On the way to Key West running west on US 1 riding SuzyQ III, our Goldwing, we stop at Bahia Honda State Park for a two hour break. Bahia Honda Key is on the west end of seven-mile bridge at mile marker 37. The park is over 500 acres in size offering camping, cabin rental and day-use facilities. An attraction to the park is the east terminus of the old Bahia Honda bridge. A short segment of the bridge is accessible on foot. While on the bridge one can view for many miles in all directions enjoying the best sights of beautiful beaches, palm trees and water.
